Our New Place

Two of the three main rooms are finished, so without further ado, I present you: Our New Place! (In other words, if you are visiting me in England, this is where you will be staying. You have your own bedroom and bath. Hope you like it!)  First, our kitchen.

Then, our living area:

And, Finally, the only part of the bedroom that matters (No, not that area) – the wardrobe and vanity area. These are all my clothes, by the way. Jock now has his very own bathroom and closet. We are truly moving up in the world. I can’t tell you good it feels to have the room and living area organized. This place feels more like us – more modern and open. I loved the other house, but it just wasn’t quite…well, us.

My other favorite part of the place? The tea mugs. Seriously, it’s something about the way they keep the water hot and the way they feel in my hands. Can’t explain it. Just amazing.

On that note, I’ll leave you with a Mitch Hedberg quote:

“It’s very dangerous to wave to people you don’t know because what if they don’t have hands? They’ll think you’re cocky.”

ohhhh looks lovely! I love how the kitchen opens right in to the living room! So is a tea mug more like a coffee mug or a tea cup? Inquiring yankee minds want to know!

What a stylish pad you've got, love the kitchen (and yes, the fridge looks like it'll do the job pretty well, lucky you!). I love looking at people's wardrobes (Ive only just realised) because you get to see more about them–what they like when they're casual, what they like when they're going out, etc. Fun pix, thanks! Good luck setting in and enjoying it. When's the first party?? ;)

What a lovely new home ! I so am jealous of the kitchen but very happy for you ? :) I love it when you find a place that just feels "us" :)
And yes, we want to see those tea mugs !!!

  8. I Love it!! Especially the kitchen and the sofa – it's awesome. Wow, and you have an Yank sized fridge. What's up with that? Times they are a changin'. So do we get to see these special tea mugs? Did you pick them out? Good tea mugs make the tea drinking experience even better don't they?

    • I know! Our last place, we had a tiny fridge. Couldn't handle it. Jock's friend (who owns it), likes to spend money on nice things. Hence, the Jamie Oliver tea cups for 9 quid that are fantastic. I'll post a picture of them!
It's amazing what a tea mug can do, who knew??
