March Secret Post Club

So, last month I participated in Notes from Lapland’s Secret Post Club in which we sign up to send a secret present in the mail to someone we don’t know. You can sign up on her website, she will then pair you with someone, send you their address, likes and dislikes, etc and it is up to you to purchase accordingly.

In March, I received my present during the first week in the month! I rarely ever get mail here (unless it’s from my mom or Courtney), and when I received a large parcel, I just about peed my pants. It was very exciting.

I’m not sure if any of you knew this, but Jock and I decided to give up something for Lent. I have never done this, and we figured it would be a good challenge for us. I gave up dairy, and Jock gave up pizza. We have both failed majorly (he had pizza twice and I have eaten cheese and chocolate quite a few times – but no milk!).

The gift had in it some of the most delicious Green and Black’s Organic dark chocolate (which I ate most of, but also shared with Courtney and Jock). So, you can imagine Laura’s anxiety when she read that I had given up dairy. However, it was truly appreciated – that taste was all I needed. There was also a beautiful wooden heart (which I hang from my bedroom door and just adds that special touch), and a cute broach that I now pin on my winter jacket to add that bit of je ne sais quoi. It also came with a beautiful card.

I’m a bit late in posting this, but I just want to say an extra thank you to Laura at Are We Nearly There Yet Mummy? The package was so well presented, it got here early, and I love the craft element to it. Honestly, it was sweet.

Read about the receiver of my Secret Post at And Then, All I Thought About was You! She’s even talking about starting her very own Ladies Who… Club! How exciting.

We need more of these seemingly random acts of kindness to let the world heal and for the reminder that we are all connected. I'm talking lots of love!! I felt it from you Meagan,, as the recipient and from Laura. What a wonderful, heartfelt way of reaching out and you know you receive those gifts at the perfect time, always. xoxo
